The Oval Childcare Nursery will aim to make parnets, carers and children feel welcome and safe within a homely, friendly environment providing families with a high quality of care and education using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
A Little About us
The Oval nursery has been open now for 5 years and has the Ofsted rating GOOD. Before opening the nursery here at Newtown, Tracey began the business as a childminder at home, looking after her grandson.
Business soon began to grow and Tracey had to employ more and more staff .
As the childminding business out grew the home, therefore we decided to move into a nursery provision and so we become The Oval Childcare Nursery here at The Newtown Recourse Centre.
Our opening sessions are Monday – Fridays 7am – 6pm and parents have the options of either needing full or half days. The Oval Nursery has a flexible approach and will try to accommodate parents needs.
Meet the Team
Hi I'm Tracey, the owner of the Oval Childcare. I have worked with Children all of my adult life from working on the children's wards at north tees to being a Home Visitor for Sure Start visiting children in the community. But so far my favourite part place to be is the Oval and I am so proud of what we have achieved here! You will often find me singing songs to the children and that's what I do best! In my spare time I love following the Boro to both home and away matches.
Hi I'm Abigail. I have been part of the Oval since it began back in 2011. Since then, I am now a fully qualified Nursery Nurse and have completed an Early Childhood Studies degree. I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead at Nursery which means I am the nominated person to help the Nursery Safeguard our children. I am here to support parents so please ask for me if there is any help you need!
My favourite part of nursery are the cosy reading areas. I love how the children snuggle up for a book and this is really important for their development so is something we should all be doing with our children at home!
